SCVO held their Summer Event on 14th July 2009 at Sandwell Council. The event was a huge success and was attended by over 100 members.
On the day, there were presentations given by Dr Patrick Saunders from Sandwell PCT on how organisations should respond to the swine flu pandamic. Neil Cleeveley, from NACVA gave an overview of how voluntary and community sector organiastiosn need to respond to change and John Garrett from Sandwell MBC provided an overview of how Sandwell Council is supporting the local voluntary and community sector. Lively discussions then took place within focus groups around the following themes and feedback can be accessed by clicking below:-
A straw Poll was also taken to gauge how members felt around such issues as, the effects of the economic climate, partnership working and threats to organisations. Feedback can be found by clicking here
