Sandwell Council of Voluntary Organisations - SCVO. Supporting the Growth of Community Action in Sandwell.

Sandwell MBC would like to hear from voluntary and community organisations with a track record of delivering ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) at EL3 and above.

Funding is  available through Neighbourhood Learning In Deprived Communities (NLDC)  for the following:

Priority groups:

• Refugees
• New Eastern European Migrants
• Unwaged Women.

Target areas:

• Smethwick
• Soho & Victoria
• St Pauls
• West Bromwich Central.

Organisations can apply for £500 unit price per person (costings must be calculated per output because there is no management fee).

Delivery must commence in January 2010 and work completed by 31st July 2010. This deadline cannot be extended.

Organisations should apply by sending an email to Helen Peach, Senior Performance Officer, helen_peach@sandwell.gov.uk  outlining their proposal by 12 noon latest on 4th December 2009.  To discuss the content of your proposal, please contact Helen on 0121 569 3742. 

Other proposals will be considered but priority will go to the groups and target areas listed above.
