The NAVCA Tender Support Project provides one-to-one support to help prepare organisations for producing high-quality tender submissions for public service delivery.  The Project forms part of NAVCA's Local Commissioning and Procurement Unit, an online resource of useful documents, briefings and research to improve your knowledge, understanding and skills around commissioning and procurement. On 22 June SCVO held its Summer Conference for Sandwell voluntary and community groups.  The conference focused on discussions around the importance of the sector thinking  longer term about organisational development and how organisations can take practical steps to sustain themselves in the future.  Speakers gave a national and local perspective on issues of importance and delegates heard a case study from an organisation who had been successful in coming through difficult times.  Workshops were also held for organisations to share ideas and discuss practical steps which could be taken to ensure the sector survives and thrives in coming years.
