Sandwell Groups Get Fit For The Future

On 22 June SCVO held its Summer Conference for Sandwell voluntary and community groups.  The conference focused on discussions around the importance of the sector thinking  longer term about organisational development and how organisations can take practical steps to sustain themselves in the future.

Speakers gave a national and local perspective on issues of importance and delegates heard a case study from an organisation who had been successful in coming through difficult times.

Workshops were also held for organisations to share ideas and discuss practical steps which could be taken to ensure the sector survives and thrives in coming years.

Following the main conference delegates attended a market stall of organisations to find out more about the support services that were available to them.
