The Department of Health has announced a new fund to support third sector organisations who deliver or support health and social care that may be experiencing significant financial hardship in 2010/11. For example, the reduction of an organisations overall funding allocations; reduced trading income, or cutbacks as a result of the current economic climate. The Third Sector Investment Programme's Financial Assistance Fund might help address the urgent financial need of some organisations and support the Sectors role in improving health and well-being.
