Partners

As an umbrella body for voluntary and community organisations, SCVO has a prominent role as both enabler and catalyst for change in Sandwell, by bringing together different organisations and agencies to improve service delivery, community engagement and decision-making at a strategic level.

SCVO also aims to work seamlessly in its own service delivery through close working relationships and a complementary approach with other established community organisations in Sandwell.

As a charitable organisation, SCVO is reliant on a number of different sources of funding, both from within the charity sector and from statutory bodies. It aims to become increasingly self-sustaining through trading activities and by offering highly-specialised chargeable services whilst maintaining its traditional services at free or subsidised rates for members.

SCVO continues to develop it’s partnership work with the following bodies:

  • Advantage West Midlands
  • Big Lottery Fund
  • Black Country Learning and Skills Council
  • European Social Fund
  • Jobcentre Plus
  • Government Office West Midlands
  • Lloyds TSB Charitable Foundation
  • National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA)
  • National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO)
  • Neighbourhood Renewal Unit
  • Race Equality Sandwell
  • Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council
  • Sandwell & Dudley Primary Care Trust
  • Sandwell Volunteer Bureau
  • The Sandwell Partnership
  • The PACE Project (Black Country Housing)
