Most groups and organisations (both newly and firmly established) should think about revisiting their governing document or broader structure of the organisation, to be assured they are still fit for purpose.

Is your organisation thinking about any of the following activities?

•  taking on new responsibilities such as employing staff or entering into contracts.

• improving credibility to attract new types of funding, including contacting.

• reviewing governing documents that are irrelevant, misunderstood or not being utilised properly by the management committee.

• looking at future options and activities, but considering the responsibilities and liabilities that might occur.
