    Openings at Sandwell Young Carers

    Sandwell Young Carers is a registered charity providing services to children and young people, aged 5-18 years, living in Sandwell, whose lives are affected as a result of caring for a dependent family member.

    If you would like to make a real difference to the lives of the young carers of Sandwell then please take a look at the vacancies below to see if you have the expertise, knowledge and skills to join us.

    We are looking to recruit:-

    Social Integration Support Officer – £17,802 per annum (37 hours per week)
    Someone who can assist and support young carers to integrate into local community groups, projects and activities so that they can positively contribute to their local area. This post is funded through the Big Lottery Fund.

    Education Support Officer – £17,802 per annum (37 hours per week)
    Someone who can work with local education environments to increase attendance, raise attainment and improve the quality of life for individual young carers. This post is funded through the Big Lottery Fund.

    Parent Support Officer – £8,901 per annum (18.5 hours per week)
    Someone who can work with parents, encourage and facilitate participation, support parent forums and work with disabled parent networks. Provide information and support on disabled parents’ rights and care packages. This post is funded through the Big Lottery Fund.

    All of the above positions require the post holders to be flexible, sensitive, child-centred, trustworthy and reliable, have experience of working with both children and young people and able to work to the organisation’s policies and procedures.
