The West Bromwich Food Bank, based at the Community (Elim) Church, Victoria Street, West Bromwich, B70 8EX, have recently launched free food courses. The courses take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm.

    Cooking on a budget
Attendees are shown how to cook simple meals, using ingredients they have received from the food bank. Clients can take away the meal. It is hoped these demonstrations will show that tasty meals can be prepared on a budget, without lots of ingredients and also encourage people to eat more healthily!

    Online study
Students who pass the online course will receive a Level 2 (catering) Food Hygiene qualification. Participants learn at their own pace. The qualification could help improve job prospects.

Please telephone 0121 580 0068 to speak to someone at West Bromwich Foodbank.
