Funding to Change Food Waste Behaviour
Grants of between £25,000 and £100,000 are available to small and medium sized enterprises, not-for-profit organisations and public funded authorities, for projects that change people’s behaviours with regards to food waste.
The funding is being made available by the waste prevention charity WRAP and the type of projects that could be funded include promoting a better understanding of Best Before Date vs Use-By Date; promoting and encouraging consumers to buy/shop better – buying the ‘right’ quantity for what is required; and educating citizens on how to store or freeze food correctly.
Applications for Stage 1 are open for registration from Thursday, 30 January, until Wednesday, 25 March, at 13.00 pm. Please email your application to citizensfoodgrant@wrap.org.uk.
