The Saleem Foundation charity, in partnership with Dudley Mind, have produced ‘The Silent Pain’. The film reflecting on mental health, outlines how depression is not always obvious and how we should take a moment out just to ask one another, “are you ok”? It is important we spread the message of hope. It is also important we stress it’s fine not to be ok, but more importantly, it’s important we all know we are not alone.
The Saleem Foundation charity was founded in 2017 and supports charities and voluntary organisations across Birmingham and the Black Country, that undertake charitable work in the fields of health, disability and financial hardship. The charity will also support individuals and their families who are disadvantaged by their youth, age, ill-health, disability or financial hardship and will take the form of grant aid, organised events and donations.
The Silent Pain has been shortlisted for the Charity Films Awards. Please vote for The Silent Pain.
Voting closes Friday, 6 March 2020.
