Parent Carer Engagement Coordinator for SPDC
Sandwell Parents for Disabled Children is a registered charity providing support for children and young people with special educational needs and disability (SEND) and their families in Sandwell. Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund, SPDC are looking for a passionate and committed individual to join the charity to lead their Parent Carers Together Project.
Job title: Parents Carer Engagement Coordinator
Salary: £25,000
Location: SPDC offices and various community locations
Hours: Full time – 37 hours per week.
This three year project will support parent carers to be more connected socially, building relationships with peers, creating an ‘experts through experience’ model whilst raising confidence, self-esteem and increasing resilience and coping strategies to manage daily life.
