Rotary Midlands Community Draw
27 Feb 2020 by Mazeline Hemmings
Are you a small group or organisation struggling to raise vitally needed funds to pay for essential activities or additional projects?
Several Rotary Clubs have joined together to run this draw which is specially designed to help groups, clubs and organisations in their own communities finding it difficult to support and sustain fund raising activities, or simply looking for a new way to raise funds.
In 2019 an identical draw helped 60 diverse good causes raise £16,000.
The Rotary Clubs cover all the costs of printing the tickets carrying the organisations name, obtaining the licence and a substantial cash price of £1,000. The ticket can be identified with a specific organisation’s project.
The organisation will retain 80p from every £1 ticket sold. This money is immediately available to utilise as required. The balance of 20p per ticket will be returned to the Rotary Club that supplied the tickets together with the stub for the Draw. The combined 20p’s are used to cover the cost of the draw; any surplus will be added to the prize fund. In 2019 this resulted in an additional £950.
Tickets will be available for sale form 21 March 2030, until the end of October. The draw will be held on 25 November.
