We are pleased to announce that Sandwell Beam, an emotional health and well-being service, now has 5 drop ins across Sandwell, where young people from the ages of 5-18 years of age (goes up to 25 years old if they are a looked after child).

Young people can access support on emotional well-being issues they may be going through, like anxiety, stress, bullying or they may be finding that they are not coping with their anger or they may be feeling in a low mood or overwhelmed with their worries.

Sandwell Beam is there to offer them a friendly welcoming, relaxed, non-judgemental and safe space to talk about their emotions, or anything that may be on their mind or bothering them.

Our aim is to offer therapeutic coping strategies so that they are able to better manage and cope with any emotional well-being issues that they may be going through.

It’s a free service and the drop ins do not require an appointment to be made, young people just turn up with parents, carers or professionals, and a simple registration form needs to be filled in and they will be seen by a well-being practitioner or a trained well-being volunteer.

The drop ins are across Sandwell including:-
    Monday – 1pm-4.30pm Community Link, Cradley Heath, B64 5AH.
Tuesday – 3.30pm-7pm (term time) 1pm-5pm (holiday time) The café ground floor Sandwell central sixth college West Bromwich B70 7PG.
Wednesday – 3pm-6pm at the Krunch, Sandwell Christian Centre, Langley Crescent, Oldbury, B68 8RE
    Thursdays – 3pm-6pm Glebefields Primary School, 36 Sandgate Road, Tipton, DY4 0SX
    Saturday – 11am-4pm CAMHS building 48 Lodge Road, West Bromwich, B70 8NY

We welcome young people from all communities across Sandwell and will do our best to help or to sign post to the most appropriate services for them. We know it’s not easy talking about emotions and our sessions are moulded around, what the young person wants.

Come and see for yourselves, we look forward to meeting you soon.
