    • Did you know...?

In October Kaleidoscope Plus launched a text line offer which is in partnership with the national organisation called SHOUT – more information can be found here: https://www.giveusashout.org/

SHOUT provide all the back office infrastructure and robust and clinically safe monitoring of volunteers and then KPG work as a white label partner to promote the service more locally – information can be found here: https://www.kaleidoscopeplus.org.uk/crisis-text-line/

It is a crisis service but is not specifically related to suicidal crisis – it is for anyone who is feeling worried, anxious or distressed and may just need to ‘chat’ to someone but not face to face or over the telephone verbally.

People need to text TeamKPG to 85258 and the volunteer who picks up the text will hear what is going on for the texter and offer appropriate advice and guidance and sometimes signposting.

It is completely confidential all KPG get each quarter is the number of conversations that have taken place and a breakdown of presenting issues, we are hoping to get some geographical data at some point which would be town or region based but nothing more specific than that.
