Just Straight Talk have been successful in applying to the Coronavirus Resilience Fund Grant through Heart of England Community Foundation.

The grant of £3,000 has enabled JST to provide a welfare fund to support people in the community with PPE for those living in fear and anxiety due to Covid-19. The grant also pays for the delivery of fish and chip shop suppers and emergency crisis food and essentials to people who are shielding, the isolated, the lonely and people who are poorly.

Project Manager, Kate, says “We are so grateful for this fund which will provide a lifeline for so many people living in Sandwell and Dudley who have been adversely affected by the lockdown and by the worry and fear that Covid-19 has created.

The fund application was streamlined and straightforward. We received the outcome decision in less than two weeks. I would recommend groups and organisations apply to the Resilience Fund with their ideas as soon as possible”

The Fund is available to organisations in Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Warwickshire and the Black Country.
