Citizens Advice presently deliver a project called “Help to Claim” which offers end-to-end support to help people make a new Universal Credit claim and be ready for when their first payment arrives. To this end, Citizens Advice Sandwell is seeking to recruit two Help to Claim Advisers. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a great charity and an innovative project.

    Hours: Full Time/Part Time
    Salary: £20, 000 – £21, 589 (pro rata)
Contract: Permanent (funding confirmed until March 2021)
    Location: Sandwell and Walsall

The organisation is looking for enthusiastic and motivated people, who have a good knowledge of the welfare and benefits system and excellent customer care skills, to join the team.

The Advisers will be working directly with people who are submitting Universal Credit claims. You will provide support with form filling, evidence checking, improving digital skills and simple budgeting and payments.

Formal qualification is not required as training will be provided.   However, you will need a good standard of English, a significant level of IT skills and a high degree of accuracy.

You will spend time working in the phone/web-chat team and at local Job Centres across Walsall and surrounding areas.

Applications close at 5 pm on Monday, 31 August 2020.  Interviews will be held on Monday, 7 September.

For an application pack please email recruitment@citizensadvicesandwell.org.uk.
