    Bearwood Community Hub is hiring!

    Bearwood Community Hub is a community hub designed by local people but as a minimum the vision includes: co-working space (main income generator) and social enterprise incubator, flexible creche for children of freelancers, community collaboration and connection space, community kitchen, sub-leased office space.

     

    The Hub needs someone who (working with Programme Director Sally Taylor) can:

    • Take responsibility for managing and delivering community projects that:
          • reduce the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on people in our community, especially those who are isolated or excluded

          • support our community to replicate, build on or create initiatives that make Bearwood and wider Smethwick an even kinder and more inclusive place in which to live

    • Help make the creation of Bearwood Community Hub CIC a reality, through meaningful involvement of local people and developing great links with local businesses and stakeholders.

    The ideal person will show an understanding of and enthusiasm for Smethwick and will have worked or volunteered in a diverse community setting.

    You will have:

    • Amazing people skills

    • Brilliant planning, project delivery and time management skills

    • Working knowledge of community development practices and/or a relevant qualification

    • Volunteer recruitment and management experience

    • A positive attitude and a kind heart

    Six months fixed term, full time, home and community based.

    Salary: £22,000pa (pro rata)
