For some time now, concerns around the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people have registered as a serious concern for many of us across Sandwell.

The Covid 19 pandemic over recent months has only heightened these worries, and although ingenuity and innovation has helped maintain the great support provided in our borough, many of us still some lack knowledge about what emotional health and wellbeing services are available.

    Our event will:

    – increase awareness of local activities and services, so children and young people can be signposted to access early intervention support that best meets their needs

    – enable delegates to share experiences and best practice – including ‘what works well for you’ and how wellbeing challenges can be overcome

    – explore ideas to enable children and young people to develop coping skills and resilience when faced with challenges

    – help volunteers and professionals who work with children and young people from all sectors to make new connections and work better together

    Friday 20th November 2020, 10.00am – 12.00pm
(event will take place through Zoom)
Introduction by Dr Lisa McNally, Sandwell Director of Public Health
