    Tackling neglect remains high on everyone’s agenda and this has remained a priority area for Sandwell Children’s Safeguarding Partnership, especially when supporting children throughout the pandemic. This year there have been a lot of developments, successes, challenges and solutions when identifying and tackling neglect in a virtual world.

    To share some of these challenges, celebrate some of the good practice and to update on upcoming projects and initiatives, Sandwell Children’s Safeguarding Partnership are hosting their annual conference:

    Why are my needs not being met? Is neglect being neglected?
    On Tuesday, 8 June 2021, 9.30 am – 15.00 pm

    Join the conference to hear from:
    Sandwell Children’s Safeguarding Partnership
    Emeritus Professor Jan Horwath
    Kerry Littleford
    NSPCC
    Working Together With Families: an early intervention service for neglect

    Aim
    To target the why, the how and the what of neglect;
    Why – is neglect important?
    How – do we manage it?
    What – will good look like?

    Learning outcomes
    Understand why neglect is a priority for SCSP
    Understand how to tackle neglect together
    Understand factors which contribute to neglect and the impact on the child

    The conference is open to all managers, supervisors and practitioners who work with children and families in Sandwell – and there are no limits on how many can attend!
