    Opportunities for Help to Claim Advisers at Citizens Advice Sandwell and Walsall

    Citizens Advice Sandwell and Walsall are looking for two Advisers to join the Help to Claim team at the organisation, to provide an effective and efficient support service to Universal Credit claimants across Sandwell and Walsall. The Help to Claim team supports clients from application through to their first payment of Universal Credit.

    Hours: 37 hrs per week,
    Salary: £20,740 (pro- rata)

    Applicants should be enthusiastic and motivated individuals, who have a good knowledge of the welfare and benefits system, and excellent customer care skills.

    The post holders will be working directly with people who are submitting Universal Credit claims. You will help with form filling, evidence checking and also assist with digital skills and simple budgeting and payments.

    No formal qualification is required as training will be provided. However, you will need a good standard of English, a significant level of IT skills and a high degree of accuracy to support clients.

    You will help clients initially via telephone and digital/web chat channels, with a view to re-introducing face to face assistance when deemed safe to do so across Sandwell, Walsall and surrounding areas.
