Black History Month 2021: Promoting Equality

Black History Month (BHM) was first celebrated in the UK 1987 and takes place every year in October.

Black History Month 2021 will be promoting equality, to inform, inspire and honour the contribution of black people. Equality for BHM recognises that historically, the history of black people needs to be unearthed to eradicate ignorance.

Equality for BHM acknowledges and values the significant contribution of black people that affects the community and everyday lives.
