This summer was a busy time for Sandwell’s voluntary and community offering support for children, young people and families.   We wanted to take this time to highlight some of the great work that was offered.

The BCWA children’s team continued to offer targeted 1:1 support to children and young people in Sandwell throughout the summer holiday. This was achieved by conducting sessions via remote platforms including MS Teams and Zoom. For the children who did not wish to participate in sessions, regular safe and well calls were conducted. In addition online sessions were available via the Nearpod platform for children to complete at their own pace.

    Feedback

“was really supportive and listened to everything I had to say and gave me great advice if I had any issues. Really really supportive.”

“Thank you all for supporting our family through our difficult time. Your support has helped us immensely and is deeply appreciated.”
