This summer was a busy time for Sandwell’s voluntary and community offering support for children, young people and families. We wanted to take this time to highlight some of the great work that was offered.
We offered children a multitude of activities across Summer which included mixed gender physical activity and team building games, SEND specific sessions to aid and support development and gave a free nutritious meal to all who attended. This bespoke provision was offered alongside our mainstream Football Camps to help inspire the next generation, NCS programme to help push those young adults to the next level:
Engaged with over 1000 participants
Delivered over 800 hours
Delivered over 140 sessions
Feedback
“I would like to start by saying a huge thank you for the services you offer to young children with learning challenges and difficulties in understanding and application, and by this is mean the hidden disabilities of autism that my son has”.
“Your team has made us feel valued and welcomed and most importantly they have motivated my children to really develop new skills in sports, make new friends and learnt transferable behaviours that help in many other settings like school, home and outdoor events”.
