As we begin to emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic, now is, perhaps, a good time to take a short pause to think about your organisation; its current activity and practice, how you manage activities and people, how you sustain and grow your work, how you govern and plan for the future, and what you might think about doing differently going forward.
SCVO has developed its ‘Looking Forward’ self-assessment checklist to help you identify the strengths and limitations of your organisation and draw up a relevant action plan to address these, if you feel it’s appropriate.
The checklist is just that – not any kind of “judgement” on your organisation – but simply some (hopefully) helpful prompts for you to think about in the context of your own operations.
And if you/your trustees/management committee are the only people who see it then that’s absolutely fine. You’ll know what’s relevant and appropriate for you to be working on. Of course, it goes without saying that you can use the results of the checklist to approach SCVO to see how we might be able to help you develop some of those areas, but that’s entirely your decision.
You can download your copy of the checklist HERE (Word format – .docx) and if you’d like to talk with us about how we might be able to support you with any areas of identified development then please call 0121 525 1127 or email: support@scvo.info (or your regular SCVO contact, if you have one). We’d love to hear from you!
