Migration Network Meeting
Migration: Policy & Practice have recently released their first Sector Assessment – “BARRIERS TO MIGRANT INTEGRATION: CHALLENGES FACING MIGRANTS AND THE MIGRATION SUPPORT SECTOR IN BIRMINGHAM AND THE BLACK COUNTRY“. The report has been shared widely with colleagues across the voluntary sector, policy makers, elected representatives and in local government.
It has been well received, again highlighting the significant inequalities faced by migrants in areas such as training and employment, as well basic needs such as healthcare, adequate housing and other fundamental rights.
They are keen to build on the momentum following the release of the report and are looking to bring together a broad coalition of groups working on these issues, develop responses and ensuring the needs of migrants are included in strategic planning.
The next Network Meeting is on Tuesday, 29th March 2020 from 10.30am to 12 noon and you can register to attend by visiting: Birmingham and Black Country Migration Network Tickets, Tue 29 Mar 2022 at 10:30 | Eventbrite
