About us:
Handsworth Association of Schools are one of the host organisations for the Green Influencers project. Our member schools are in the wards of Handsworth, Handsworth Wood, Lozells, Birchfield and Soho, all in Perry Barr Constituency Locality. We work with schools to support them with citizenship programmes, children’s learning projects, for over 10,000 families. We also provide conference facilities, staff training and transport services, as well as developing family support projects to support families in poverty, to overcome barriers to their progress, and help build stronger relationships between communities and lead to community action. Like many organisations since the Covid 19 crisis began we have been unable to offer the same services, so we have adapted to meet the current needs of our children and families and now also provide a foodbank service to support our most vulnerable families.
