Help is at hand!
Could your organisation use a few helping hands, or a fundraising campaign boost? Young people taking part in National Citizen Service (NCS) are looking for projects as part of their Social Action commitment. Students aged 15-17 from Sandwell schools take part in the scheme over the summer.
As well as taking part in team building activities and different workshops, the young people look at the local issues in their area and what they can do to help the community they live in.
They then go on to plan a social action project, which can be anything from a fundraising event to decorating, clearing up a public area/community centre or raising awareness of a worthy cause.
Action days are July 14th and 28th, and August 11th and 26th.
