Citizens Advice Sandwell will be running two training courses on the 15th & 21st June 2022 to help your staff and volunteers be more aware of what is out there and the useful resources to get people talking about money and pass on good money management advice to service-users.
“A Week in Life of” the Doe family
- Wednesday 15th June: 10.00 am – 12.30 pm, OR
- Tuesday 21st June: 12.30 pm – 3.00 pm
Covering the main financial capability topics with focus on practical ways of helping families get to grips with their budget. Looking at the current issues that are effect people at present and to get more specialised help from the range of free services, using several of our trusted local websites including Resilient Residents, Route2Wellbeing and Healthy Sandwell.
Scams Awareness Campaign
- Wednesday 15th June: 1.30 pm – 3.00 pm, OR
- Tuesday 21st June: 10.00 am – 11.30 pm
This annual campaign aims to create a network of confident, alert consumers who know what to do when they spot a scam. This year’s campaign will take place from the 13th to 26th June.
Protecting people against scams is more important than ever. Many people are facing multiple issues (rising energy prices, employment and debt, housing, and health problems) and therefore find themselves in vulnerable situations. Scammers are taking advantage of this. It is vital people have the knowledge and tools they need to protect themselves.
All training will be face to face at the training room at Smethwick Citizens Advice, Unit 6, Tollgate Shopping Centre, High St, Smethwick B67 7RA
Places are limited so book early, stating the course, date and time. You can attend one training session or stay for the whole day and cover two courses. Please make your intention clear.
