    Let’s Chat Mobile Van and Community Transport Projects

    Let’s Chat Mobile Van: As part of the Government’s Strategy to ‘Tackle Loneliness’ Community Transport are working with Transport for West Midlands on a ‘Let’s Chat’ project over the next 12 months.

    Part of this project is to reach out to as many people as possible who may be considered lonely. A mobile unit offers the opportunity for social contact, with a chat and coffee.  The idea is to offer encouragement and wider social connections by signposting and referral to all manner of opportunities and activities where friendships may be established.

    The mobile unit is a minibus that has a seating area for service users to have a chat and coffee with staff that would possibly take up no more than 3 parking spaces.

    Community Transport.  As part of the Let’s Chat Project, Community Transport are offering door to door transport to help people access their local community activities on fully accessible minibuses for only £1.30 per journey.
