Voluntary Sector Briefing – UK Shared Prosperity Fund
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is a central pillar of the UK government’s ambitious Levelling Up agenda, replacing previous European Union funding streams, and is a significant component of government support for places across the UK. It will provide £2.6 billion of new funding for local investment by March 2025, with all areas of the UK receiving an allocation via a funding formula rather than a competition.
In Sandwell the Council are preparing for the commissioning of funds for the Communities and Place strand for year 2 delivery (Apr 23 -Mar 24) . SCVO, in partnership with Sandwell Council, are inviting voluntary sector organisations who deliver employment and skills or placed-based support to residents in Sandwell to attend a briefing event where they can find out more.
The briefing, on Tuesday, 28th February 2023, 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, is a chance for Sandwell’s Voluntary and Community Sector to:-
- Find out more about UKSPF.
- Hear about the types of activity and priorities the local authority are looking to commission
- Understand the process for how this funding will be commissioned along with relevant timescales
