Ideal for All: Freelance (Self-employed) ESOL Tutor
Ideal for All is a user-led registered charity and social enterprise working to make life better for disabled, elderly and vulnerable people and their carers. The organisation would like to recruit a Freelance (Self-employed) ESOL Tutor to deliver ESOL non-accredited classes.
- Hours: 6 Hours per week (26 weeks programme)
- Responsible to: Head of Operations or as advised
The successful candidate will have a qualification or equivalent experience of teaching ESOL or literacy in group and one-to- one settings. You will be expected to:
- motivate and inspire people facing multiple barriers to integration through the delivery of quality language sessions
- manage a varied workload against deadlines in a target driven environment
- keep accurate records to monitor and evaluate progress against target.
Main duties: To teach English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills to our learners. This will include designing, delivering, and assessing training at different levels of learning, by using various classroom activities and teaching methods to help learners improve their language skills and confidence.
To support learners to complete and pass the course and progress into further learning, training or into work.
To create effective and stimulating opportunities for learning through high quality teaching, learning and assessment to enable the development and progression of all our ESOL learners.
Tutor will have access to Sandwell Language Network ESOL Toolkit.
