Marie Curie want to protect the people they care for, the staff and volunteers from the effect of climate change and enable their patients to enjoy nature in their last weeks and months of life, while letting them know that they are doing everything they can within their role to protect the planet for their loved ones after they have gone.
Marie Curie has committed to being ‘net-zero’ across all operations by 2050, in line with Government’s UK targets. This means that they will reduce their emissions as close to zero as possible by swapping to low carbon solutions, and capture the remaining emissions through accredited offsetting projects.
