Funding to Support Children, Young People and Parents and Carers in Sandwell
Building on the success of previous programmes of emotional wellbeing support for children and young people Sandwell Council have released additional funds. Up to £30,000 is available for each category. These are:
- Supporting Young Black Boys in Youth Justice System-providing specialist mentoring to boys aged 10-18 years.
- New Arrivals/Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children aged up to 18 years old by providing 1-2-1 trauma therapy and support.
- Providing Programmes of Support for those aged 16-25 years old with skills to improve resilience, self-confidence, build self-esteem and reduce anxiety.
- Family Support-providing parental awareness sessions to upskill parents and carers so they can support the emotional wellbeing and mental health of their children.

- Name of your organisation and Charity or Company Number. (Funding is only available for charities or CIC’s.)
- Which category of provision you wish to apply for. (You can apply for more than one and each has a different application form and guidance notes)
- State what type of similar provision your organisation has delivered in Sandwell or the adjacent boroughs of Dudley, Wolverhampton, Walsall or wards of West Birmingham.
You must meet these requirements to be eligible for an application form and guidance notes. There will be an open meeting for potential applicants on Tuesday, 23 May 2023.
