The Breastfeeding Network Sandwell have been supporting families in Sandwell for the past 13 years. Their vision is a society where mums, parents and families can make informed decisions about breastfeeding, to access help when they need it and to become confident in their choices. Their values are at the heart of how they we work.
The BFN strive to always listen actively, keep a mum or parent at the centre, respect a parent and support their choices, share the evidence to inform early parenting choices.
The friendly Sandwell Peer Support team can help with establishing and continuing breastfeeding, expressing, bottle feeding, weaning from breastfeeding, and introducing solids. All Sandwell families are welcome to access our service. We support all feeding choices and aim to empower parents and families to make informed decisions with confidence.
Whatever the question, or if parents just want to chat to someone, they are encouraged to get in touch! The Network run virtual groups three times a week, have regular walking groups and social meet ups, as well as attending Children Centre activities and Baby Clubs.
Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospital’s NHS Trust commission The Breastfeeding Network charity to provide free, non-judgemental, evidence-based information to all Sandwell families.
