Recovery College Commissioning Of Community Sector Training Courses Pilot Project
The Recovery College have been awarded a total of £50K to commission small to large community organisations to deliver a range of recovery, wellbeing and/or life improvement courses across the Black Country.
The project aims to support the delivery of approximately 2/3 courses in each Black Country area, in both the Autumn 2023 (September, October, November, December) and Spring 2024 (January, February, March) Recovery College terms and to be delivered by a variety of community organisations. The courses can be delivered in your community venue, at the new Recovery College Campuses or digitally.
The “Commissioning of Community Sector Training Courses” project is considered a pilot project aiming to support the learning and development for the future and wider scale commissioning projects to be delivered by the Recovery College including the ‘Train the Trainer’ programme.
The project outcomes are to reach those individuals, experiencing mental health inequalities in our most underserved and deprived Black Country areas, and where barriers to accessing mental health services are prevalent.
