Get ready to have your tastebuds tickled at our weekend long Sandwell Food Festival!

Taking place in the heart of foodie focused Bearwood, Sandwell Council is bringing delicious food and fantastic entertainment straight from Lightwoods Park.

When: Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July
    Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm
    Where: Lightwoods Park and House

They’ll be welcoming vendors from the borough and beyond with the likes of Bear Eats, Panjabi Rasoi and Island Bar and Grill serving up delicious grub with cuisines from Sri Lankan, Caribbean, to vegan, and desserts!

If you’re looking for something to take home, head over to our stall holders and pick up some goodies – including local artisan bread, chutneys and jams, and Bearwood favourite Betty Bakes.

Join them at their cookery stage to add some new recipes to your repertoire including vegan fried ‘chicken’, Sri Lankan specialty kottu, and find out how to feed a family of four for under a fiver.

If that isn’t enough, we’ll also have family entertainment across the days including face painting and craft activities, or you can soak up the sun and listen to local performers on the bandstand.

They’re looking for community groups and organisations who would like to be involved in this event and offer talks, hold stands or provide activities, with a particular focus on the following:

    • Healthy eating and nutrition
    • Exercise and diet
    • Grow your own
    • Low cost living
    • Sustainability

If you would like to be involved, please contact us at event_enquiries@sandwell.gov.uk
