New Workshop Lifting The Lid by The Parakeet

The Parakeet is a children’s arts studio nestled in The Black Country who believe in the power of imagination and collaboration to create worlds that are filled with greater joy, play, nature connection, and justice. They have developed a workshop aimed at arts and community organisations taht lifts the lid on what it means to be little.

The workshop aims to:

• Lift the lid on what it means to be little aims to move us towards a child-friendly future, where we all become a little more enlightened about what children need to flourish in our venues and communities.
• unpick early years theory, research and ideas from around the world and builds upon participants own experiences of children and childhood.
• help front of house staff, security guards and volunteers to make children and their grown ups feel welcome in our venues.

Length of session: 3-4 hours

Who is it for: The session can be tailored to suit specific teams, but would suit any adults that come into contact with children, or teams who want to make their venues/organisations friendly to children and their grown ups.

Cost: £500 (community organisations, with turnover less than £250k) £750 for medium sized organisations and
£1000 for large sized organisations.
