Cultural barriers and a lack of awareness about what cancer is can often lead to late diagnosis and poorer survival rates.

Macmillan and Black Country Integrated Care Board are working alongside community groups to address these issues through proactive community engagement, offering workshop sessions and awareness talks.

They are looking to visit established groups to discuss:

    • Health and Wellbeing
    • Cancer Prevention and Early Diagnosis
    • Cancer Screening Programmes
    • Signs and Symptoms
    • Living well and beyond Cancer

They want to build these sessions around what groups want and allow them to have a voice.

To discuss a group visit contact either Kassandra.styche@nhs.net or lesley.fellows@nhs.net
