Black Country Brighter Lives, the registered charity of Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is bringing harmony to the community this September with a new singing group for people with dementia.

The ‘Shine a Light’ dementia choir is free to attend and open to people with all forms of dementia and their carers who live in Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall or Wolverhampton.

The choir will provide a space for people to get together with others and sing in a fun, relaxed and supportive environment.

Sessions will run for ten weeks starting from 5 September, including a performance, and will take place every Tuesday, 2pm – 4pm at West Bromwich Baptist Church.

The group will be supported by clinicians and health professionals from the Trust and led by experienced singing teacher and community choir leader, Sarah Jones.

To join the choir or find out more please email bchft.communications@nhs.net or call 07972732781.
