This event is focused on leaders of Community Interest Companies that are majority led by people from ethnic minoritized communities and using their cultural competency and lived experience to shape and deliver services for ethnic minoritized communities.

Earlier this year, Lloyds Bank Foundation made CIC’s eligible for funding under its Racial Equity programme, so the focus is on services that are helping people to address and strengthen their immediate financial circumstances and then supporting them to achieve their employment aspirations and ambitions.

The Event will be hosted by Claudine Reid MBE, and the Lloyds Bank Foundation will be represented by Peter Cunnison, Manager for the West Midlands.

Peter will highlight Lloyds Bank Foundation’s services and offering, elaborating on the New £3m Racial Equity Fund, before providing a synopsis of their funding criteria. This will be followed by a facilitated open discussion investigating the barriers to funding and potential solutions and next steps to address these barriers.
