POhWER: Independent Advocate – HS2

POhWER the independent charity which help people who, because of disability, illness, social exclusion, and other challenges, find it difficult to express their views or get the support they need, have a vacancy for an Independent Advocate to join their West Midlands team supporting vulnerable people who are affected by HS2.

• Contract Type: Permanent
• Hours: 33.3 hours per week working between Monday to Friday.  Actual working pattern to be agreed.
• Salary: £19,543.50 – £20,962.80 per annum (Full time equivalent £21,715.00 to £23,292.00) (dependent on experience) +Benefits!
• Location: Birmingham office based and hybrid working from home schedule; with travel to locations along the HS2 line as needed.

Most of this work will be conducted remotely. However, there will be a requirement for travel to visit clients along the HS2 route and therefore you will need to be able to travel independently of public transport. Because of the nature and location of the role, applicants must live within the area; have a full driver’s licence and access to their own transport. Travel expenses will be paid within reasonable travel distance.
