Additional session – To DBS or not DBS!
Due to popular demand, an additional free session has been arranged with the Disclosure and Barring Service to help understand the basics of DBS checks. The new session is online on Tuesday, 5th December 2023 at 10 am.
The regional DBS representative will cover:
- An outline of the role of the Disclosure and Barring Service.
- Understanding DBS checks and role eligibility, including levels of check and workforce
- How “regulated activity” with children and adults is defined and what this means in practice.
- An organisation’s duties and responsibilities in regard to referring to the DBS.
- Understanding the DBS barring process and the consequences of being placed on one or both barred lists.
- How to get support from DBS.
This session is being hosted by One Walsall as part of the Fours for Good training package put together by SCVO, Dudley CVS, Wolverhampton VCA and One Walsall. The original session on 29th November is fully booked.
