Since the first People Panel last September, NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board have hosted four events, in which more than 90 people and change makers have participated.
Most recently in August, the script was flipped and asked, “How can our own experiences of health and happiness inspire us to create change in our communities?” A record of that event can be found here.
At the November People Panel, you will be invited to reflect on a calling question similar to the one that we asked a year ago: “What can be achieved when we start with people and genuinely work together to build healthy communities?” Let’s celebrate what’s emerged, changed and been achieved together by collectively exploring the “ripple effects” of our conversations.
The date, time and location of the next Sandwell People Panel is:
Date: Thursday 23rd November 2023
Location: George Road Community Church, George Road, Oldbury, B68 9LN
Time: 11.00 am – 1.30 pm
Networking/ Marketplace/ Lunch: 1.30 pm – 3.00 pm
Over the last 12 months the ICB shared stories and experiences of topics such as Primary Care (GP access and Patient Engagement), Urgent Care (111, walk in centres) and Elective Care (planned surgery and care). Attendees will be invited to participate in what happens next as opportunities for change and improvement are reviewed.
The Integrated Care Board have also heard that you’d like more time for networking and to learn more about what’s going on near to you. The event has been extended to 3.00pm to allow for networking and there will be health care professionals in attendance who will be offering mini health checks such as blood pressure, weight and general health advice. If you would be interested in holding a small stall or information desk, then please get in touch.
You can sign up and register your place online here https://re-url.uk/WYV1 or call on 0121 612 1447.
