Funding for Better Mental Health Strategy Focus Groups
Sandwell Council are inviting local community and voluntary sector organisations to express their interest in applying for a grant of up to £500 to deliver community-based focus groups, which will be centred around the Better Mental Health Strategy which is currently out for public consultation and can be accessed here.
The Council’s vision is for every resident of Sandwell to have the best mental health that they possibly can, at every stage of their life. The focus groups will provide an opportunity for the community to review, discuss and provide feedback on the strategy.
Focus group requirements:
- To hold a minimum of 1 focus group, with no upper limit.
- Achieve a minimum of 10 participant responses to the Public Consultation Survey (if hosting multiple focus groups, the minimum response rate can be achieved collectively across all focus groups held).
- Submit all survey responses for the focus group participants by the deadline date (if you plan to use paper copies with your community, you will need to allocate administration time to upload these electronically).
- Submit a minimum of 1 response to the Organisation Consultation Survey (multiple responses can be submitted if additional staff members/volunteers wish to provide feedback).
Who is the target audience? The opportunity to participate in the focus groups should be made available to all communities. The aim of the focus groups is to aid responses to the strategy public consultation from a wide variety of residents and organisations across Sandwell.
