SCVO supports the Voluntary and Community Sector across the six towns of Sandwell. Our popular ‘Introduction to the Voluntary Sector’ gives a broad overview of our work, but in these short Bite Size sessions, we delve a little deeper into specific aspects of our support offer.

Funding – A Journey of Discovery: Thursday 7th March 2024, 10.00am – 11am at SCVO, 1st Floor, Landchard House, Victoria Street, West Bromwich B70 8ER – please note this session is in-person only. SCVO supports and facilitates funding opportunities across Sandwell. But how do we do that exactly? Find out more in our short ‘Bite Size’ session, including the support we offer organisations to help them identify relevant funders and complete funding applications. For further information about the ‘Funding – a Journey of Discovery’, please contact liz@scvo.info or libby@scvo.info or shamsher@scvo.info

Volunteering Bite Size: Tuesday 19th March 2024, 2.00pm – 3.00pm, Online Session. SCVO supports and promotes volunteering across Sandwell. But how do we do that exactly? What services do we offer to support organisations to recruit, train and manage volunteers, and give them the best possible experience? And how do we spread the word that volunteering can improve your wellbeing, gaining you as much as you give? Find out in our short ‘Bite Size’ online session. For further information about the ‘Volunteering Bite Size’, please contact kim@scvo.info

Capacity Development: Tuesday 9th April 2024, 2.00pm – 3.00pm at SCVO, 1st Floor, Landchard House, Victoria Street, West Bromwich B70 8ER – please note this session is in-person only. SCVO supports Voluntary Organisations across Sandwell to build organisation’s capacity by working closely and in depth with organisations that request Capacity Development Support. This “Bite Size” session will explain how we work with examples of changes that groups engaging have been able to make in their capacity to better serve their clients and strengthen their own organisation. For further information about how SCVO can help to Strengthen your Voluntary Sector Organisation, please contact shamsher@scvo.info or libby@scvo.info.
