Health Determinants Research Collaboration Voluntary Sector Briefing
Sandwell Council have been awarded a £5 million grant from the National Institute for Health Research to set up a Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC): Better Research for Better Health.
The HDRC will improve how we carry out research, how we use it to make decisions and how we communicate findings to others. This will help to improve the quality of the services we deliver and commission as a Council, and improve the health and wellbeing of all our residents.
We worked closely with the University of Birmingham, SCVO, Sandwell Consortium and other local partners to develop our funding bid. We are especially keen to work with the voluntary sector to ensure that everything we do reflects the needs and values of our diverse communities.
This briefing will be an opportunity to find out more about the HDRC and how you can get involved. We also welcome your views on the work we are planning to do, particularly in terms of community participation.
We are running two briefings with the same content to allow you to choose a date which suits you best.
Friday 15th March – 10.00am – 11.00am – Teams
Tuesday 19th March – 1.00pm – 2.00pm – Teams
