Swim England/Institute of Swimming are working with local leisure operator Sandwell Leisure Trust, to deliver a Sandwell Swimming Teacher Recruitment Academy, which aims to offer trainees funded training to become a qualified Swimming Teacher.

The programme offers aspiring swimming teachers, who recognise the importance of learning this important life skill, the opportunity to gain the necessary qualifications whilst completing a volunteer placement at one of the centres to gain practical experience on a learn to swim programme.

This is a great opportunity for local community-based people who have a passion for swimming. The programme is open to those 16 plus.  More information on the programme including FAQs and how to apply can be found here.

    Applications close 25th February, 2024.’
