Applications now open for Spoke and Activity Funding in Sandwell

Sandwell launched the Family Hubs and Start for Life programme in July 2023 (www.sandwellfamilyhubs.com).  Through the programme it aims to ensure parents and carers feel supported and empowered in caring for and nurturing their babies and children, ensuring they receive the best start in life. This in turn will improve health and education outcomes for babies and children and enable them to thrive in later life.

Family Hubs Grant Funding is now available for the delivery of peer support to families across Sandwell. We are looking for grant applications from organisations that already provide services and support to families but want to grow and strengthen their offer by joining the family hub model and becoming a Spoke.

There is a map included in the application pack, please do ensure you are not within a mile of Family Hubs or spokes as per the grant criteria.

We are specifically looking at organisations in the following areas plus areas outside a mile radius of the Family hubs and spokes:

  • Great Barr/Yew Tree
  • Cradley Heath
  • Oldbury Central
  • Old Warley/ Bristnall

The grant funding will also include the delivery of additional activity to support wellbeing and Breast feeding.   The grants of £15,000 per organisation will be offered to voluntary and community sector (not for profit) organisations and schools who can engage families and support them to engage in services.
