A brand-new day club with the aim of combating isolation and helping to improve the health and wellbeing of those with care needs and their family carers, has been launched by Crossroads Caring for Carers.

The day club, which takes place on the first Wednesday of every month, 10am – 3pm at the Oak Tree Centre, Tame Road, Oldbury, B68 0JP is open to all adults living with any condition, including dementia. Here they can enjoy a change of scenery, social activities, and a hot meal in a safe and secure environment.

Independence is encouraged, but a skilled team of Crossroads Care Support Workers are on hand to assist people with mealtimes and getting around.

The competitive price includes activities, refreshments throughout the day, a hot lunch and care assistance. Call Crossroads on 0121 553 6483 or visit www.crossroads-caringforcarers.org for more information or to book a place.
